Welcome to Breastfeed Guilford!

Who We Are:

Breastfeed Guilford is a group of community advocates working together to improve breastfeeding initiation, duration, and resource access for families across Guilford County.

Current Focus:

Since launching in Fall 2025, we have been working to implement the Ten Steps to a Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community in Guilford County. Currently, we are focusing on Step 10, evaluating breastfeeding policies and providing educational materials to childcare centers in Guilford County.

Help Guilford County Families Find Breastfeeding-Friendly Childcare!

Families in Guilford County are asking us which childcare centers support breastfeeding, and we need your help!

Childcare directors and staff, please complete our brief survey to help us connect families with centers that support their breastfeeding needs. Every childcare center that responds will receive a complementary resource bundle featuring children's books, toys, and posters.

Looking for extra support? We offer free staff training, guidance on creating employee lactation spaces, and additional resources. Simply opt-in at the end of the survey!

Be Well Foundation's Building Better Conditions for Care Event

Join us for the official launch of the Be Well Foundation, as well as a documentary screening of High Risk, followed by community conversation! This event is October 24th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Central Library in downtown Winston-Salem. This event is free, but please RSVP!
