Durham
Where it startedThe first county in the country to implement the Ten Steps, and home to the Lactation Collaborative, our free lactation clinic. Breastfeed Durham is our pilot project.
Guilford
Greensboro and High PointThe Ten Steps are arriving in Guilford County this fall, starting with childcare. Breastfeed Guilford is our project, and we employ the community health workers who do the work on the ground.
Franklin
Louisburg, Franklinton, YoungsvilleA rural county of 82,000 where designated breastfeeding friendly spaces went from one to twenty-seven in two years, including all four library branches. Breastfeed Franklin is a funded partnership with the Franklin County Health Department, now in its fourth year.
