Richmond County, North Carolina stands proud in its commitment to every human milk feeding journey. Partnering with Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities, we ensure that every act of feeding—be it breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or expressing—is recognized and supported.

Accomplishments in Support:

  • Major Retail Venue: Richmond County is proactive in ensuring there’s a dedicated lactation space for families on-the-go.
  • Federal Courthouse: Recognizing the importance of support in formal settings, a dedicated lactation space has been provided.
  • Educational Commitment: With lactation spaces in all Public Schools and the Board of Education, Richmond County shows its support for teachers and staff across its 22 educational institutions.
  • Industrial Support: Richmond County extends its backing to the industrial sector by providing a lactation space in the Perdue Farms plant.
  • Alternative Learning: The Richmond County Alternative School is also equipped with a lactation space, ensuring that all educational environments are supportive of feeding needs.
