Breastfeeding Friendly Childcare – An Overview This is part one of the Building Blocks to Breastfeeding Friendly Childcare video series. A coalition of North Carolina based breastfeeding and child care advocates discuss the Ten Steps to Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care originally developed by the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute in 2017 to optimally support families and program staff with specific evidence-based actions. Participants in this session will learn about the NC Breastfeeding Friendly Childcare designation – why its important to support breastfeeding families, what is required for the designation, and how to start the process of applying to be designated.
