Normalizing Breastfeeding Throughout Your Program In this presentation of the Building Blocks to Breastfeeding Friendly Childcare, we discuss why normalizing breastfeeding, lactation, and human milk feeding in child care programs is important. We discuss it all: from supporting families who may want to breastfeed but don’t know how to manage the transition into child care, to showing potential/new families that you welcome all feeding styles. We discuss allowing children who have breastfeeding experiences to see and share in the experiences of their peers (and siblings). This presentation includes a discussion of how to teach children and families that breastfeeding is a normal way to feed infants around the world.
