World Breastfeeding Week is hosted by WABA, the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action.
It was a call to action from WABA that started the Ten Steps to a Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community. Our whole framework began as an answer to this week.
It is easy to let a week like this pass, to think an awareness week is a small thing. But these calls to action, and the accountability that comes with them, change the world slowly. Take this week to celebrate.
