In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, implementation team members from our Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities were approached for insights into the challenges and celebrations, the current tasks and goals, that are a part of building a welcoming, equitable community for breast/chestfeeding families.

In the second article, Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities share the projects and events that they are working on now and the lessons that they have learned. The responses revealed both the similarities in focus of the communities and their unique needs.
In this third article, Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities share their short-term goals. They share insights and reveal not only the hard work but the humor and resourcefulness of each community.
The final question in this four-part series focuses on celebrations. Sometimes it is too easy to only see the work ahead or the work undone. This question provided an opportunity to reflect on all the work already completed and how our communities are carrying on and working through challenges and lessons learned.
